10 Most Mismatched Enemies In Movie History

8. Jack Reacher vs. Werner Herzog - Jack Reacher

Tom Cruise plays the slick, badass action hero in Jack Reacher, and does a pretty bang-up job of it. So why, then, did they feel the need to cast a distinctly non-threatening old man as the primary antagonist? Now, I'm not saying film director Werner Herzog doesn't have a creepy manner, because he does - that German drawl just lends itself so well to evil - but you take one look at the guy, and it's clear he could probably be bested with a decent gust of wind. Once you take The Zec's (Herzog) lackeys out of the equation - as happens at the end of the film - it's as simple as just walking up to him and firing a bullet. The guy is not at all mobile given his accelerated age - we'll assume he's Herzog's age of 70 - so it's really as easy as talking to him for a bit, and when the Zec makes a snide remark, shooting him. Hell, just smother him with the nearest pillow; he's not going anywhere.
