10 Most Mismatched Enemies In Movie History

7. Guile vs. M. Bison - Street Fighter

Perhaps one of the most tragic and poorly thought-out movie mismatches was Guile - played by a 34-year-old Jean-Claude Van Damme at the peak of his physical fitness - against M. Bison - played by Raul Julia, who was 20 years his senior and suffering through the final stages of terminal stomach cancer. To his credit, Julia gives the only truly vibrant, knowing performance in the movie ("Of course!"), yet his skinny frame and gaunt face do not exactly equate to a particularly powerful foe for the ass-kicking Guile. Guile absolutely ruins Bison at the start, and he has to be brought back to life by his super-villain jacket (no joke), which seems to give him the ability to also fly and fire lightning. It doesn't matter, though, as Guile soon enough remembers he has legs, and kicks him through a video wall, which is the end of that. I don't know how Julia came to be cast in this film - whether he hid his very evident condition from the crew or not - but it would have made more sense to cast someone a little more physically imposing (though the film likely wouldn't have been half as entertaining without his contributions).
