10 Most Out-Of-Control Teens In Film

1. Alex DeLarge - A Clockwork Orange

No other film on this list is as controversial as A Clockwork Orange. Adapting such a unique book into a movie was never going to be an easy task, but if any director could do it, it was Stanley Kubrick, resulting in a timeless masterpiece that portrays quite possibly the very worst of the teenage psyche. A Clockwork Orange focuses on 17 year old Alex DeLarge, played by Malcolm McDowell in a role that would define him for decades to come. Alex is an admittedly charismatic, well-spoken and even often-polite young man, which makes his sociopathic behaviour all the more disturbing. And there's no question that he's a sociopath. Set in a dystopian near-future Britain, Alex and his gang of droogs get up to all sorts of juvenile delinquency. They get into real trouble, however, when his harassment accidentally becomes murder and, although treatments temporally turn him into a stand-up citizen of the world, ultimately Alex's true, disgusting nature returns to take him over. Proof that not even the most radical treatment can save such an evil soul. What's your pick for the most out-of-control teenager in cinema? Have your say down in the comments.
