10 Most Polarising Films Of The Decade (So Far)

5. Suicide Squad

Zack Snyder superhero films are rarely anything less than cinematic Marmite, his penchant for dark character deconstruction only sitting well with some.

The villain-centric Suicide Squad is one such film, but this is an extreme example which pitted fans against critics and inspired a petition to have Rotten Tomatoes shut down when the unfresh reviews piled up.

Obviously the website is still going strong, but for every reviewer who dubbed the film plot-free garbage, there was a fan hailing it as a unique spectacle that adds much-needed diversity to the comic book genre.

Jared Leto and Margot Robbie's performances as the Joker and Harley Quinn split both fans and critics, with some claiming their toxic relationship left them hungry for more, and just as many pointing out they were grossly underused.
