Its no secret the Hulk has had a rough ride on the big screen so far; the 2003 version made fans really Ang Lee (sorry) and Marvel have quietly distanced themselves from 2008s The Incredible Hulk after Ed Norton-gate. Mark Ruffalo has really stepped up and made the character his own since then, and has become a key ingredient in making The Avengers work. Since hes taken the role people have been asking about another Hulk movie, but sadly theres been little progress on that front. Ruffalo is up for it, with the main snag appearing to be Universal still owning the rights to make a solo Hulk adventure. While thats part of the issue, the main reason appears to be Marvel just arent interested in a solo movie at the moment. After all, there have been two attempts already, and both met a lukewarm response. It still needs to happen at some point, and it needs to happen while Ruffalo is still playing the character. Hulk will have a juicy supporting part in Thor: Ragnarok and will presumably also appear in Infinity War. Beyond that, it might be time for a Planet Hulk movie to become a reality.
