4. The Malachor Superweapon
Not every savage superweapon on this list was crafted by an Empire, Republic or group of Separatists trying their best to get the upper hand on their rivals. In fact, one of the most terrifying was crafted by the Sith nearly 4,000 years before the construction of the mighty Death Star.
Within a Sith temple on Malachor, this life destroying superweapon was powered by a giant kyber crystal, and possessed the power to petrify all who came into contact with its stunning power. Its creation would ultimately lead to the Great Scourge of Malachor, an event which saw every Jedi and Sith involved in a battle to decide the weapon's fate killed and petrified.
During Star Wars Rebels, Kanan Jarrus, Ezra Bridger and Ahsoka Tano all visited the temple in an attempt to discover how to defeat Darth Vader and his team of Inquisitors.
But, after being tricked by the one-time Sith Lord Maul into placing a Sith holocron inside the temple's obelisk, the frightening weapon was suddenly reactivated. Luckily, Kanan and Ezra were able to remove the holocron, whilst Ahsoka battled against her former master Darth Vader, destroying the temple and dodging another event which could have led to the destruction of countless lives.
