10 Most Powerful Weapons In Star Wars
3. Operation: Cinder
If you ever needed a reminder of just how thorough and downright ruthless The Emperor truly was, then look no further than Operation Cinder.
After being defeated during the Battle of Endor, the mighty Dark Lord of the Sith gave game-changing posthumous instructions to Imperial officers who remained loyal to him. These Contingency plans involved multiple orbital bombardments by the Empire on a number of planets across the galaxy.
The sheer devastation caused by Operation Cinder's ability to disrupt the climates of all of the worlds it touched, such as Vardos and Burnin Konn, was all part of The Emperor's plan to tear down both the Rebellion and the Empire, destroying those who had opposed him and punishing the ones who had failed him in life.
This would all eventually lead to the rebuilding of the Empire in the Unknown Regions, however, whilst The Emperor was secretly brought back on Exegol. Even when he was still assumed to be long dead, Darth Sidious' manipulative abilities were on full show here, as his eerie orders opened the door for some visually stunning yet undoubtedly catastrophic consequences.
