10 Most Precocious Kids In Movies

7. Cid Harrington/The Rainmaker (Looper)

looper How many kids do you know who have an alter ego? There can't be that many six- year- olds destined to become an internationally-renowned kingpin, and fewer still granted with telekinetic powers. But that's precisely the fate of poor Cid (Pierce Gagnon), an unassuming lad holed up in a Kansas cornfield- as much for the world's protection as his own. He is of particular interest to a group known as 'loopers', specialised assassins who zap their targets back from the future, for he will become the 'Rainmaker', a near-mythical mastermind destined to topple the mob and close all loopers' accounts. That is, unless Joe (Joseph Gordon-Levitt, again) and his older self (Bruce Willis) can stop him... Like a cross between The Omen, The Incredible Hulk and 'It's a Good Life,' that episode of 'The Twilight Zone' in which a town lives in fear of an malevolent, mind-reading boy, it would be advisable to keep Cid in high spirits. For, when threatened, he can summon an almighty trembling that tears through the walls and throws his opponents into the air. Even when he's a frightened little boy, Cid seems worryingly advanced. He converts a pair of toy frogs into emergency signalling devices and describes the perils of his double life with eye-opening articulacy. The future is bright, indeed...
