10 Most Promising Up-And-Coming Directors

8. Seth Gordon

Horriblepress02Films: Horrible Bosses and Identity Thief You probably weren€™t expecting any directors specializing in comedy but I enjoy touching upon as many genres as possible and for what my money is worth, Horrible Bosses is one of the most clever, vibrantly acted, and ingenious comedies to crop up in a long time. His follow up titled Identity Thief definitely tried going for that same style but ultimately came short in some areas. He doesn€™t have anything on the horizon currently but his more calculated and witty approach to comedies that also tell stores people can relate too (let€™s face it, most people hate their bosses, so a dark comedy revolving around ridiculous schemes to murder them is already a creatively relateable premise) gives hope that he€™s only going to create more memorable comedies.
