Films: Tron Legacy and Oblivion Neither of the aforementioned films are sci-fi masterpieces from a narrative perspective but if theres one thing both films commonly excel at, its a stylistic approach to action with amazing attention to visual detail and sound design. Oblivion may have recycled every sci-fi trope in the book but it meshed them together in a way that created a visually stunning film bursting with directorial talent. If he is given a great script or more revered collaborators, he possesses the talent to do something truly amazing with it. He is currently attached to a Tron sequel but has also been attached to projects including a remake of Logans Run. His future is bright with many years to hone his craft and create something truly memorable.
