Films: District 9 and Elysium Neill exploded out of nowhere onto the scene with District 9, a sci-fi experience that wasnt just intent on tossing up some awesome action sequences but rather an intellectual story on social segregation with aliens. His latest film Elysium may not have lived up to the legacy of his debut but that film too also contains very provocative social commentary on the poor, middle class, and rich. He hasnt announced what his next project will be yet but heres hoping the Halo adaptation he wanted to make at one point resurfaces because if theres one man for tackling something as dauntingly epic as it, its Neill. Whatever he does next though will surely be something to highly anticipate.
