5. Duncan Jones
Films: Source Code and Moon Who could have predicted that the son of David Bowie would go on to make mind-bending sci-fi masterpieces? Duncan Jones is one of the most original and refreshing directors working today with visual and narrative hits such as Moon and Source Code. Some actually argue that Source Code should have gotten as much exposure as Inception considering both plots are structured to mentally toy with you until everything fits together, and while Im not sure if I agree with the assessment its the fact that the belief is there that speaks volumes for Duncan. He currently has an Ian Fleming (Author of James Bond books) biography in the works but for those that are digging his sci-fi experiences, he has a film titled Warcraft in production slated for a 2015 release timeframe.
