10 Most Promising Up-And-Coming Directors

4. Seth McFarlane

Icymi3Films: Ted Some of you are going to scoff at this selection pointing out how Family Guy had dipped significantly in quality but that doesn€™t matter. He doesn€™t do any writing on his animated shows anymore and instead is focusing on his voyage into cinema. Ted was his first crack at directing feature length films and aside from becoming one of the highest grossing R rated comedies of all time, it€™s also pretty damn funny with tons of heart and Seth€™s friendly ribbing ways of expressing his love for cinema as a whole. The IMDB description of his next film simply says €œ A cowardly farmer helps seeks the help of a gunslinger€™s wife to help win back the woman who left him€ and contains a stacked cast including Liam Neeson, Charlize Theron, Neil Patrick Harris, Seth himself, and more. On the surface, factoring in Seth€™s extensive movie knowledge this really seems like satire right up his alley.
