2. Rabbits - Night of the Lepus (1972)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xulXFB3-A3c "There is a herd of killer rabbits headed this way and we desperately need your help!" Generally speaking, every animal on the planet has the potential to become a terrifying zombie-like hybrid in a movie, given that you assign the job to some sort make-up artist genius and use the right sound effects to create the right mood. Which is, unfortunately, not what happened on the 1972 flick Night of the Lepus, which tried to make cute little bunny rabbits into terrifying creatures of the night. The movie fails to raise even a single moment of tension because... well, they're just rabbits, aren't they? There's been no real attempt to make these creatures at all scary (and that's if the movie even lets you see them, which it doesn't at really awkward, annoying moments). The results, then, are embarrassingly bad, given that you're left watching a movie with a "deadly threat" that looks about as intimidating as a trip to the farm yard.
