Octaman better well-known, given that he's just about the funniest horror creature ever bestowed upon the planet? Designed by Oscar-winning makeup artist Rick Baker (of
Star Wars fame), Octoman is the lousiest horror adversary to ever go on a killing spree, mainly because he's just a man in a bad octopus suit. The movie is basically Octaman going about a Mexican town and causing chaos, which is far less fun that it actually sounds. Speaking out about
Octaman after his later success, Baker said:
"The very first film that I did was Octaman, with Pier Angeli. Don't ever watch it. You'll lose all respect for me. I was like, 'I'm making a movie!' It was shot in 10 days. Pier Angeli killed herself immediately after Octaman was filmed. Can't blame her."
