At the start of the movie, Dom is being transported via jail bus to serve time for his past crimes. But not on his friends’ watch, as they speed into action to intercept the coachload of cons.

Dom’s sister Mia overtakes the bus and then u-turns, driving headlong into the path of the vehicle, forcing it to swerve across the highway. Brian, meanwhile, is out in front and slams on his brakes, causing the coach to rear-end his vehicle.

In a normal world, the sheer combined weight of the prison bus and all its surly occupants would probably crush the back end of Brian’s set of wheels and give him a massive case of whiplash. But not here in the Furi-verse, where the collision simply sends the coach spinning into the air over Brian's car, barrel rolling across the pavement like a human cocktail shaker and leaving the gang to spring Dom free, who is yet again miraculously unhurt in the crash.
