10 Most Satisfying Harry Potter Movie Moments
9. Professor Dumbledore Escapes From Hogwarts (The Order Of The Phoenix)
Harry’s fifth year at Hogwarts is a grim experience. Alongside the sadistic methods of Professor Umbridge, he has to deal with an onslaught of nasty comments from students who’ve been brainwashed into thinking he’s an attention-seeking liar.
Keen to get revenge on the Ministry, Harry forms Dumbledore’s Army, a secret student organisation that practice defensive spells. When Umbridge discovers the group, Harry is marched to the headmaster’s office and narrowly escapes expulsion.
Cornelius Fudge and his entourage then attempt to arrest Dumbledore, but the headmaster quickly reminds them who’s boss when he vanishes from his office in a blaze of fire, causing the Ministry members to collapse onto the floor.
Dumbledore’s quiet superiority is what makes this scene so satisfying. He maintains his composure, observing the Ministry members without an ounce of fear before demonstrating his overwhelming power in a matter of seconds.
Plus, Kingsley Shacklebolt’s final comment is terrific:
“You may not like it, Minister. But you can’t deny, Dumbledore’s got style.”
