10 Most Satisfying Villain Deaths In Movie History

1. Franz Sanchez (Licence To Kill)

I couldn't resist book-ending this list with what I believe to be arguably the most satisfying death for a villain in movie history. The set-up was brilliant, and the pay off was even better with 007 avenging the death of Felix Leiter's wife, and the crippling of Felix via being fed to sharks early on in the film. When James Bond is given a gift from Felix and Della at their wedding in the form of a lighter with the engraving "Love Always, Della and Felix," it couldn't have been a more pertinent item used at the end of the film to carry out one of the greatest villain deaths at the movies. Case in point, Franz Sanchez was a believable, multi-layered villain, played to perfection by Robert Davi. So seeing him get lit on fire just after he realizes Bond had a friendship with the two people's lives he ruined was extremely powerful as it was satisfying. This was a visually stunning ending for one of the better, if not the best villain of the James Bond franchise. Great stuff all around. In the end, this is by no means a hard and fast definitive top ten list for the most satisfying villain deaths in movie history. It's simply my own opinion. So with that I'd appreciate all of you to throw in your top villain deaths in the comments section below. There's no way I can do this type of list justice on my own, so feel free to add in what you think I missed! As always, thanks for reading. Like this list? Let us know in the comments section below.
