10 Most Satisfying Villain Deaths In Movie History

2. Jack Torrance (The Shining)

The Shining This certainly isn't the most spectacular of death scenes as you don't see Jack get an axe to the head or a knee to the groin from his family on the run from his descent into madness, but it's still one hell of an effective death scene by all accounts. It's subtle, it's creepy, and may leave you with the thought that maybe his character isn't dead to some degree, which inevitably adds to its mystique. Just the fact he managed to survive long enough to make it outside of the maze, after his family escaped, is enough to make the hair stand up on the back of your neck. And let's face it, the visual aesthetic of this death is easily one of the most haunting images in cinema history, and that alone is enough to warrant it being included. Some might contest just how much of a villain Jack actually is - whether he is more sinned against than sinning, considering how manipulated he is to evil, but that last, enduring image is enough to suggest something more sinister is at play than what we are initially lead to believe about his descent.
