His name is Buck and he likes to do bad things that rhyme with Buck. If theres one thing Tarantino excels at its writing the lowliest and weaseliest of characters. None so much as Kill Bills; Buck. By the time we encounter Buck, Uma Thurman aka The Bride has already had it pretty rough. Shes been shot in the head by her former lover and mentor Bill, on her wedding day no less and whilst pregnant. Miraculously she survived, but only to be comatose for a good few years. Then, when she finally wakes up, paralysed, Buck appears causing her to vividly recall that, not only did Buck molest her throughout her coma, but he charged others to do it also. The scene is filled with motorised language that makes you realise just how blasé Buck is to the whole thing. Its made all the worse by Tarantino include a tub of Vaselube adding graphic imagery to an already unspeakable atrocity. The only solace is Bucks comeuppance. his heel cut and head in door, it comes as violently and mercilessly as youd hope as Thurman graphically caves his skull in, releasing a torrent of emotion that leaves Buck nothing more than a twitching corpse and telling you that she's not going to have it easy at any point during the film.
