10 Most Skippable Harry Potter Movie Scenes

5. The Death Eaters Attack The Burrow - The Half-Blood Prince

This scene is the perfect example of style over substance. It begins with the awkward shoelace conversation – which is easily the worst Harry-Ginny moment – and we then have to struggle through the most pointless action sequence in the entire series.

Bellatrix Lestrange and some of her Death Eater cronies decide to cause a bit of havoc by attacking the Burrow. There’s no plot progression, nobody is hurt during the attack, and the damaged Burrow appears to be perfectly fine in the next movie – there’s really no point to this scene at all.

And to make matters worse, it doesn’t even make sense. Why would the Death Eaters be able to access the Burrow? Anyone who’s read the books knows that places of importance are protected by powerful enchantments. But the filmmakers conveniently forgot this fact for the sake of a lacklustre action sequence.
