10 Most Unconvincing CGI Characters In Movie History

1. The Scorpion King - The Mummy Returns

The Mummy Returns Often remarked to be one of the worst instances of contemporary visual effects, The Scorpion King's appearance at the end of The Mummy Returns damn-near derails a movie that's already pushing its luck. Barging his way into a fight between Rick O'Connell (Brendan Fraser) and Imhotep (Arnold Vosloo), The Scorpion King didn't so much terrify audiences as much as generate laughter from them, as well as sneers of disgust that something so ropey made its way into a $98 million movie. The Scorpion King had a shiny, rubber look that, combined with the only cursory resemblance it bears to Dwayne Johnson, makes the final showdown of the movie extremely awkward to watch. It is as though the budget ran low and they had to use some intern to make his best efforts on a trial version of 3D Studio Max. People could literally do better work on their home computers these days. Dreadful. Which CGI characters are you most unconvinced by? Let us know in the comments below.
