10 Most Underrated Female Horror Movie Monsters In History
4. Jane Doe - The Autopsy Of Jane Doe
The title character from 2016’s The Autopsy of Jane Doe is quite remarkable in the sense that, despite playing an integral part in the plot, she is technically “dead” for the entire runtime.
Father and son Tommy (Brian Cox) and Austin (Emile Hirsch) work for a local morgue and are brought the body of a recently deceased woman. Upon studying the corpse, the duo are baffled when they can’t find an obvious cause of death. That’s when things start to get creepy.
Tommy and Austin become trapped in the coroner’s office as they start to hallucinate, hearing sounds and seeing visions of people in the hallway. After battling the apparitions, they discover that “Jane” was a witch killed during the Salem trials and that her “body” is the one making all these strange things happen.
Jane, who is portrayed by Irish model Olwen Kelly, is incredibly powerful, despite the fact that she doesn’t move a muscle. She just lies there on her slab, but, through her abilities, she is in complete control, and there’s nothing her unwitting victims can do about it.
