4. Luna Lovegood
Luna Lovegood was an odd witch, and arguably the most unique of Rowling's extensive list of characters.
With her questionable dress sense and bizarre views, Luna was initially more amusing than likable. Yet she was one of the few to believe Harry when Voldemort returned, and she was also a prominent member of Dumbledore’s Army, having fought against the Death Eaters in the Department of Mysteries.
Luna further possessed a very sweet nature. In The Half-Blood Prince, she comforted Hermione following her altercation with Ron, and her speech in The Deathly Hallows at Dobby’s grave also demonstrated her kindness.
Though there were certainly more powerful and more prominent heroes in the Harry Potter series, Luna was never afraid to be herself, and was consequently one of the most lovable of Rowling’s creations.
