10 Most Underrated Horror Movies Of 2019
1. One Cut Of The Dead
There was initially a lot of buzz about One Cut of the Dead before it released. It dropped in Japan back in 2017, but perhaps because it took two years to reach the US and other territories it eventually ended up flying under the radar, which is a huge shame because it's easily one of the most inventive horror movies in recent memory.
Because of that, it makes it something of a difficult movie to talk about. One Cut is built around pulling the rug from the audience in every scene, and in a lot of ways it's three different films in one, each layer constructed on top of the other and informing it in endlessly charming ways that'll have you grinning from ear to ear.
This isn't just your regular zombie movie, and without overhyping it too much or ruining the twists, I'll just leave you with some advice: stick with it through the first half hour. It might not seem like your cup of tea during that period but you'll know when it hits a turning point, and you'll be pleased you invested come the credits.
