9. The Ballad Of Uncle Ben - Spider-Man 3
In the best acted scene in the entire movie, Peter and May Parker are informed by Chief Stacy that it was really Flint Marko who murdered Uncle Ben. In a flashback/imagined sequence, we see Uncle Ben pulled from his car as he pleads for his life to the future Sandman. He is then gunned down in cold blood and left to die while Marko defiantly walks away. All this is interspersed with shots of Peter Parker in "real time" thinking, as a hauntingly sad piano plays in the background. A single angry tear rolls down Peter's cheek. Later, when Spider-Man confronts Sandman and asks him "what does it matter to you, anyway?" Spider-Man's "EVERYTHING!" answer is powerful and rage-filled. The imagined death scene is a gripping and painful reminder of a mistake that Peter never truly forgave himself for.
