10 Most Underrated Original Songs In Movie History

7. "Is Your Love Strong Enough" By How To Destroy Angels (The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mz42uc8KnNk To start, Trent Reznor and Karen O's cover of "Immigrant Song" is the true highlight of the weighty soundtrack produced for David Fincher's "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo". The effect of the song is impressionable because it immediately makes the case that Fincher is offering a truly original take on the popular book, and not just an American version of the Swedish film. However, the closing track, produced by Reznor's group with his wife and collaborator, serves to conclude on that point. Steve Zaillan's script for "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" ends with a particularly sharp moment that highlights Lizbeth Salander's emotional journey. She essentially is faced with the fact that, despite an all around victorious case conquered with seemingly her new partner in crime, she is still living the same rejected and lonely life. "Is Your Love Strong Enough" is a somber melody that seems to speak directly from Salander's thoughts in that final moment.
