4. She's the Man
Oh, Amanda Bynes, how adorable you were when you were in this stage of your career. She's the Man is a modern interpretation of the Shakespearean play Twelfth Night, and revolves around a girl who takes her twin brother's place at boarding school so that he can go to London with his band. It's a good move for her, because she's a talented soccer player and posing as a boy would give her the opportunity to play on their team without interference from the sexist coach at her old school. Amanda Bynes and her unique brand of physical comedy somehow manage to pull off the two very different characters: Viola as herself and Viola as the strange, eccentric version of her twin brother Sebastian. It's a cute little film with an interesting take on the original source material that ranks right up there with 10 Things I Hate About You and Clueless in terms of modern day Shakespearean adaptations. And if nothing else, She's the Man is the film that introduced Channing Tatum to the world, so everyone owes it a debt of gratitude for that alone.
