10 Most Unlucky Horror Movie Characters

After a Halloween night out, friends Tara and Dawn (Samantha Scaffidi and Catherine Corcoran) stop by an inner-city fast food joint for a spot of late-night pizza. There they encounter Art the Clown (David Howard Thornton) for the first time. Although Art comes across as a harmless (if visually terrifying) kook at first, this is only the beginning of a sustained campaign of torment and violence against the young women.

Trailing Tara and Dawn back to their car, Art attacks and kidnaps Dawn. He then gives chase as Tara tries to find help. She too falls into Art the Clown's clutches and, after being tortured and tormented, is brutally murdered (although not quite as brutally as Dawn, who is literally sawed in half by the clown). Then, for shits and giggles, he goes for her sister too.

The ladies' fate is only made more tragic by its complete meaninglessness. Crossing paths with the clown by sheer chance, Tara and Dawn are nothing more to Art than a pair of poor unfortunate meat bags - picked simply because they were there. All they wanted was a late-night snack.
