Release Date: February 12, 2016 Don't want to be "that guy," but when do these things ever work out for the best? Try and name a single comedy sequel that even came close to matching the magic of the original, and - yup - you're looking at a very short list indeed, aren't you? And it's not like Zoolander is a recent movie, one that happens to be fresh in people's memories (even Ride Along 2 has that going for it); the original picture, which starred Ben Stiller as a male model tasked with stopping the assassination of the Prime Minister of Malaysia (you can't make this stuff up), came out all the way back in 2000. Have movie-goers been sitting around wondering, "Hey, what happened to Derek Zoolander?" Nope - just like they weren't sitting around wondering where Dumb And Dumber were, either. And remember how Dumber And Dumber To just came and went? You forgot that it even existed until now, didn't you? Wasn't the failure of that movie enough of a warning for Stiller and Owen Wilson to heed? Even when you throw in characters played Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig, there's no guarantee of quality. It could be good. The trailer has its moments. Do we need it? Like a hole in the head - these cult classics are best left alone, before people start noticing that they weren't quite as good as we all thought they were in the first place.
