A low-key though unexpected request came from actor Domhnall Gleeson, who played the cantankerous First Order commander General Hux in the sequel trilogy.

After winning the role, Gleeson had one demand of Disney, that they allow him to view the original Star Wars trilogy on the big screen to help get into character for the role.

And given that hiring out a Dublin screening room for the actor and sending over some copies of the films wasn't much of a financial stretch for Disney, they complied.

Gleeson ended up watching A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi back-to-back on a single day, an experience he clearly relished:

"That was amazing. That was one of the big joys of going through and letting the magic seep in. And then, of course, leaving it behind to do the job you're doing."

Despite some fans' understandable misgivings about Hux's arc in The Rise of Skywalker, Gleeson's performance fits effortlessly into the mold set by his suited-up villainous predecessors, so it was clearly a worthwhile small gesture from Disney.
