2. Ghostbusters 3
Ghostbusters 3 has been in the works for a
loooong time. Dan Aykroyd started writing the script in the '90s, and since then we've been hearing a number of conflicting reports regarding whether or not the film will ever happen. As recently as May 2013 Aykroyd seemed to think the film was definitely happening, which he plans will usher in a new team of Ghostbusters to replace the old. Bill Murray has repeatedly expressed a disinterest in appearing again and last we heard, hasn't even read the scripts he's been sent. Frankly, making a third film at this point just seems pointless, and hopefully I don't sound like a broken record when I say that they should just leave the old films alone. There's no need to continue a franchise that's been dead since 1989, and it would be a shame for such an iconic series to fall prey to Hollywood's remake obsession. Aykroyd, director Ivan Reitman, and Harold Ramis didn't even want to make Ghostbusters 2, stating that the first one was meant to be conclusive, but were pressured by the studio to make it happen. And we all know how that turned out...
