9. Lockjaw's Death - One Battle After Another
One Battle After Another's Colonel Steven J. Lockjaw (Sean Penn) is one of the most unforgettable movie villains of recent years, and he certainly meets one hell of a memorable end in the story's climax.
After surviving an assassination attempt at the hands of the racist cabal known as The Christmas Adventurers Club - who ordered his death after learning that he fathered a mixed-race child, Willa (Chase Infiniti) - Lockjaw surprisingly appears to be welcomed into their fold.
The Adventurers take Lockjaw to his corner office, but as he sits down to bask in his membership, gas is suddenly pumped into the room, swiftly killing him. After this, individuals in hazmat suits collect his corpse and cremate it.
It's a fittingly pathetic and darkly hilarious death for Lockjaw, that so desperate was he for membership into this vile, far-right boys' club that he didn't anticipate the prospect that they might be plotting to take him out.
Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy, really.
