10 Actors Who Play Themselves In Every Movie

1. Jack Nicholson

Jack Nicholson has made a career playing characters who are, for the most part, let's be honest, bats**t crazy. Whether it's his iconic turns in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, The Shining and Batman, or his more self-reflexive insanity in the likes of Anger Management, Jack Nicholson is known through Hollywood as a crazy, enduring badass, and that's because, well, he is one. And what is it that really ties his film persona to his life outside films? It all stems from one incident in particular involving a golf club. In 1994, after being cut off in traffic, Nicholson used a golf club to smash in the offending motorist's windshield, a hugely publicised incident that only helped fuel his reputation as a real-life nutter, not that it damaged his career in the slightest. Looking at Nicholson's best recent performance, as mob boss Frank Costello in The Departed, it's clear that by now Nicholson is just free-forming as himself; the manic persona we see on screen is just an extension of his real-life manic persona. Which actors do you think are just playing themselves? Let us know in the comments below.
