6. Michael Cera
Michael Cera gets a fair amount of derision for playing the same awkward, geeky young man who can't talk to women in just about everything, and the reason he's criticised for it is because he's clearly a talented actor, yet doesn't appear to make the most of it. Still, it's important to remember that he's a young actor, so is likely being advised a lot by his agents, and doesn't have the full, decades-long body of work that most of the people on this list do. Still, he's an actor so keen to conform to this stereotype that we're led to believe, along with interviews in which he never seems to deviate from the nervy nerd demeanour, that he is, in fact, just playing a slightly more exaggerated version of himself. Sure, he got to spruce it up a little in Scott Pilgrim vs. The World by getting down and dirty for some awesome fight scenes, but we'd love to see him take on something truly challenging, like playing a serial killer. We think his awkward tics could translate effortlessly into something truly creepy.
