10 Movie Actors With Far More Range Than You Think

9. Alan Tudyk

Certainly less of a household name than others featured on this list, Alan Tudyk's acting career has been spent more in a recording booth than in front of a camera but the range of characters he has portrayed leads this contributor to believe that almost everyone will have enjoyed his work, whether they realise it or not.

Tudyk's career did begin with conventional acting roles and his earliest major role came alongside Heath Ledger in the hugely underrated A Knight's Tale. Portraying Wat the Squire', the Texas born actor blends seamlessly with his British co-stars (Mark Addy, Paul Bettany etc) to the point you would believe, without doubt, that Tudyk was born in Watford!

Many will recognise him for his role as 'Wash' in Firefly/Serenity but his true talent lies in the incredible vista of characters he has voiced in film, television and even video games. Roles including: Sonny (I, Robot), King Candy (Wreck It Ralph), Alistair (Big Hero 6) and, perhaps most famously, K-2SO in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

No one voice of Tudyk's is ever the same and though he is more often than not acting off screen, his range cannot be doubted. If you're still not sure, watch Arrested Development and A Knight's Tale back to back and tell me that's the same actor!
