10 Movie Auditions You Would Not Believe

8. Tiny Fey Isn't Lovin' It

Commercials can be a handy source of income for any actor as the payout can be huge with the added bonus of not having to work a long gruelling shoot to obtain the cash. You could say that working for certain, tainted organisations could be seen as "selling your soul" but at the end of the day, most up and coming actors can't afford to turn down paid work.

That leads us nicely into Tina Fey's experience on the day of a McDonald's audition. She felt that she didn't fit the mould of, well, anything. She wasn't a stereotypical model or mother type and therefore felt she didn't fall into a category that would be suited to such a global juggernaut.

With this in mind she walked into the audition to find that she would be asked to drive up to the side window of a drive-thru at the fast food restaurant and have to order some food. Fey had a scar on the side of her face on show to the camera and (sadly) knew that it wouldn't be aesthetically pleasing to the people making the big decision.

Armed with a "nothing to lose" attitude, she drove up to the window in her imaginary card and ordered a Big Mac before adding "my scar will have an orange soda." She went on to do alright for herself.
