10 Movie Bromances That Were Incredibly Unhealthy

9. Swingers

Swingers Swingers is a charming buddy movie with catchy dialogue, superb performances and at the heart of it all is the friendship between Trent (Vince Vaughn) and Mike (Jon Favreau). It's been six months since Mike has been dumped by his girlfriend of six years and his friends think it's time to get him back in the social scene. On the surface Trent is a good friend and he constantly tries to build up Mike's confidence by repeatedly saying that he is 'Money' and giving him advice on approaching women. Trent is the fast-talking, good looking one who tends to overshadow mike and talk him up before he gets a chance to be himself. The bromance is undoubtedly strong between the two friends but things are always on Trent's terms. Trent talks Mike into doubling down in blackjack when he doesn't want to and he loses all his money. He tells Mike how to pick up girls like he does. Trent goes over the top to pump him up, telling him he has big claws to kill the bunny but he is playing with his prey. Accordingly things start falling into place for Mike when he stops treating Trent's advice as gospel. He meets a girl who likes him for just being who he is and he is happier than ever.
