10 Movie Cameos So Well-Hidden Everybody Missed Them

7. Daft Punk (Tron: Legacy)

Daft Punk's musical contributions to Tron: Legacy made for one of the most electrifying movie scores of all time, but not all of their work took place off-camera.

The famous French duo also had a meta cameo appearance in the film, where they played a pair of DJs laying down some funky beats in a nightclub. It's not clear which acting school Daft Punk attended to practice for this role, but we're sure it was tough.

Though the costuming here is a clear homage to one of the duo's futuristic outfits, the only way to tell that this is actually Daft Punk is if someone points it out for you.

Most people don't know what they look like in real life anyway, since they prefer to wear outfits that conceal their identities. So even if they were visible in the film, most viewers would still miss their presence.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
