10 Movie Characters Destined To Be Killed Off

Finally, a legion of horror nerds sigh in unison.

Yes, alright, so admittedly the iconic William Shatner-masked mute murderer may have had more fake out deaths than Jason Voorhees and Freddy Krueger combined (shout out to Halloween Resurrection’s utterly insane retcon of H20’s ending). But the title of David Gordon Green’s forthcoming Halloween instalment tells us that Haddonfield’s finest contraception enforcer may finally be headed for the same great beyond that he’s sent so many unfortunate souls to over the years.

This year will see the release of Halloween Kills, but the following year the series will end (well, this second reboot, third overall iteration of the series, anyway) with the simply-titled Halloween Ends.

Now we may not know much about the plot of this flick so far, particularly since we still have another sequel to get through, but it’s not unfair to guess from that title that it isn’t the institution of trick or treating and candy eating which will come to a close come October 2021, but rather the institutionalised slasher who we’ve come to associate with the eponymous celebrations.
