10 Movie Characters Pointlessly Forced Into Sequels

The Other was, as it stands, a rather annoying and pointless character from the start. He's introduced in 2012's Avengers where he serves as Thanos' mouthpiece, discussing the plan for Earth with Loki, and screaming at him occasionally. He's there mainly so that the mid-credit Thanos reveal can happen. There's no point to the character aside from that.

What's worse is that he's then shoved into Guardians of the Galaxy. In that film, he appears briefly, merely yelling at Ronan a couple of times before Ronan gets mad at him and kills him. See how rad Ronan is, isn't he cool as heck!? In reaction to Thanos murdering his general, he... doesn't do anything. It's like The Other was never there at all.

Thanos doesn't even seem mad that Ronan killed him. Marvel realized that The Other had served his purpose and wanted to toss him real quick so we got his forced pointless end, which at least matched the rest of his existence.
