6. The Early Visitors - Jurassic Park

It might be over 20 years old now, but Steven Spielberg's Jurassic Park, adapted from the novel of the same name by Michael Crichton, still looks great and delivers just as much excitement and tension as it did upon its release. One of the stand out set pieces in the movie comes towards the end, when paleontologist Dr. Sam Grant (played by Sam Neill) and his companions find themselves cornered by a pair of very hungry and very dangerous velociraptors. With seemingly no way of escaping, suddenly the gigantic T-Rex bounds into action, picking off the smaller dinosaurs and conveniently ignoring the humans, allowing them time to get the hell out of there. It's a remarkable stroke of luck topped only by the characters in Jurassic Park III - they too find themselves at the mercy of velociraptors only to be saved at the last minute by the arrival of what appears to be the entire US Navy.
