10. Christof (The Truman Show)
Trying to kill someone is, naturally, a tricky business. Made more so when you're attempting to do it live on America's most popular TV show - and you're the show's producer. That's the situation Ed Harris' Cristof find himself in when his project goes awry and Truman Burbank, unknowing star of his own reality TV show, discovers his entire life has been a lie. Rather than admitting defeat and allowing Truman to begin the rest of his life, Cristof does his very best in preventing Truman from reaching the edge of the studio - he employs all the elements at his disposal to try and drown his star as he sails to freedom. Once Burbank does get his freedom, there's no plausible way that Cristof will walk free with out, at very least, attempted murder charges. And that would be forgetting the breach of human rights displayed in keeping Truman in his fake surroundings. Worst of all, there's an entire life's worth of evidence there to bring him down, all captured on camera.
