If there€™s one thing we've learned from apocalypse movies, as soon as a group gets bigger than three, you need a leader. Perhaps the best leaders are people who never intended to be leaders, who had greatness thrust upon them, but why waste time waiting for our leader to emerge blinking into the sunlight after some unexpectedly heroic deeds? Let€™s just get a President. Of course, there have been numerous Presidents throughout movie history. We don€™t want just any old President though. You need a tough President, perhaps a President with a military background. A President that, rather than allowing himself to be jettisoned in a safety pod when his plane is attacked, decides to do an undercover spook operation and save, if not the world, then at the very least the plane! Hurray for President Marshall! He won€™t abandon us in a crisis.
