10 Movie Characters Who Became Total Caricatures In Sequels

Hey everyone, you may not know this, not a lot of people talk about it, but the Harry Potter series... is NOT perfect! Shocker, right? Who else is talking about this except for every film/book twitter snob who wants hot take clicks?

The books definitely have their problems (naming your ONE Asian character Cho Chang? Really?) but they do have one thing over the movies. Hermione is an actual character, not a walking exposition dump.

Such is the case with the films. And a lot of this isn't intentional on the part of the filmmakers. They simply cut one too many sub-plots that focused on her out of the adaptations, leading to her just not being as developed. And while nobody could possibly miss the sub-plot that boiled down to "civil activism and social reform is for idiots and hippies hardy har" there needed to be more in there to make her more three dimensional.

As it stands, Emma Watson did the best she could with the material given, but movie Hermione was there to sound smart and little else.
