Seriously. What. Is. That.

We understand that X-Men Origins: Wolverine had a troubled production and suffered a lot of studio interference, but how could a group of filmmakers turn this...

...into the monstrosity we saw onscreen?

Thankfully, Ryan Reynolds got the chance to do the character right with 2016's Deadpool, but it's hard to get rid of that bad taste his prior appearance as the character left in our mouths.

For starters, the Merc With The Mouth - as Deadpool is often branded - had his mouth sewn shut. Wonderful. He also had blades protruding from his hands, lacked the iconic red-and-black suit, had weird markings across his body, and... could teleport? Why?

The movie was a bonafide disaster, and Deadpool was the worst part about it.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
