10 Movie Characters Who Look Nothing Like Their Comic-Book Versions

3. Lex Luthor - Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice

Lex Luthor has never really been accurately portrayed - looks wise - on the big-screen.

In the comics, the character is often quite muscular and possesses chiselled facial features that neither Gene Hackman, Kevin Spacey nor Jesse Eisenberg can claim to have.

Still, it's the latter actor who delivered us the most radical departure from the source material that Luthor has ever seen. With his flowing locks, overly-energetic speech pattern and odd sense of humour, he was nothing like the composed, mature and fear-inducing character found on the pages of DC Comics.

Eisenberg did go bald for the final few scenes of the movie, but he still retained those personality quirks that made him a far cry from the Luthor we all expected.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
