6. Co (First Blood: Part II)
The original Rambo is a great movie, which deals with one man's inability to get back into society after Vietnam and then that man's subsequent efforts to blow up a town. Heavy on action, but also with an emotional core. Rambo 2 is the opposite of this, he just goes and blows up everything and kills everyone he can. So for a film that is absolutely littered with people dying, one death sticks out as making little to no sense. Rambo's lady friend Co gets shot and there is an emotional death scene which I can only imagine is in there to tug at the heart strings. It seemed like a totally unnecessary way to try and somehow give the film some emotional depth when everyone had realised that was certainly not what this film was about by then, it just seemed like a lazy way to Rambo more pissed off and want to blow things up.
