7. Hooch (Turner & Hooch)
The greatest buddy cop movie of all time, Turner & Hooch, has only one major flaw and it is a flaw which keeps it as the best buddy cop movie ever when it could have been the greatest film ever made. What is the flaw you ask? Well given the nature of this article you probably should see this coming, but Hooch bloody well goes and dies at the end. Unless the writers just hated the idea of a sequel, why the hell did they kill that disgusting, but lovable, mutt? Yes it is a noble death, saving Turner from getting shot, but he didn't need to die did he? Just take the bullet and move on. Throughout that whole final scene while he is in surgery, I was 100% expecting him to pull through and when he doesn't it just seemed unnecessarily harsh.
