Similar to the Uber Immortal in 300, the Balrog of The Fellowship Of The Ring has a proper stinker of a day. He is rudely awakened by hordes of goblins chasing our heroes, and reacts in the way we all do to being unceremoniously stirred - by going on a bloodthirsty rampage. So imagine his dismay when he is made to look a fool by what appears to be an elderly man with a shiny walking stick. The Balrog, demon of fire and shadow, is felled in his own house by an old guy with a beard and something of a limp. But just to make matters worse, as the Balrog is falling, he thinks he's got one over on the old man, dragging him to his doom, only to discover that man is a wizard and must now not only fall for what seems like an eternity, but also fight his miracle adversary to death. Not only is he already groggy and sleepy from his abrupt awakening, and not only has he just been tricked into falling into a cavern, but now he's going to have to fight for his life. Of course, the only thing that could make it worse would be if he lost...
